Some work has started on adding better C++ support to ExtUtils::CBuilder.
There is a branch called "cplusplus" in the EU::CB repository on github. (See the branches dropdown.)
Work is loosely coordinated on the #toolchain IRC channel on irc.perl.org. Ask for user "Sno|Laptop" if you would like to contribute in any way.
