The Perl Iron Man blogging competition started with a rant and a bet. Coincidentally (or maybe not), mst lost his bet right before the Perl conference season.
I think mst is a constructive gadfly – a provocateur – so I want to see him keep challenging the Perl community to be a community. And in rebuttal to other memes in the community lately, I vote for a talk titled “Patches Welcome”.
